CHE GUEVARA AND THE THINGS THAT HE SAW

He traveled to find new ways and ideas to help people. As he went on, he and his friend met new people who described their situation and how they were being treated, and how the government was acting—making promises to benefit the people, but then failing to keep those promises. If you would like to learn more about the experiences of Che in his early life, a very good movie to see would be “THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES”. That movie follows the travels of Che in South and Central America and his meeting with and learning from the local people along the way.

"He begins studying for a degree in medicine at the University of Buenos Aires. He spends his leave on motorcycle tours with his friend Alberto Granado, who runs a dispensary at the leper colony of San Francisco del Chanar near Cordoba in Argentina.
In journeys undertaken in 1951 and 1952, Guevara travels first in Argentina, where he meets the lepers at Cordoba, then heads west into Chile and then north through Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and on to Miami in the US, where he is turned back by the immigration authorities.
While in Peru he works in the San Pablo leprosarium. His experiences with the lepers and the poor and underprivileged during his travels have a key impact on the development of his political thought. He becomes convinced that genuine equality can only be achieved through socialism.
Guevara's experiences on the road are later described in his book 'Motorcycle Diaries'."

The Che Guevara revolution was really cool. I didn't really know what it was about and this really informed me of how it started and stopped.
